Dear Students:

    The winter vacation and Chinese New Year is coming soon. For your joyful and safe vacation as well as accident prevention, the relevant matters are notified as follows

1. Schedule: The winter vacation of Fuzhou University is from Jan.23, 2016 to Feb.28, 2016. Please abide by the schedule and come back for registration on time. The vacation for language students is scheduled by Overseas Education College (OEC).

2. Ask for leave: If you return home or leave school, don’t forget to ask for leave from the teacher of your college, and keep in touch during the holiday. If you stay in school, you should apply for permission to the teacher, and abide by the regulations of the school. You should also fill in the form of staying in school during 2016 winter vacation and submit to the OEC for records.

3. Safety tips:

a.  Improve your safety awareness and protect yourself. Pay attention to prevent fire, theft, and fraud. Beware of food poisoning, accidental injury and traffic accident.

b.  Pay attention to fire safety. Cold and dry winter is a fire-prone season. Fireworks should be set off at the designated place.

c.  Pay attention to traffic safety. The winter holiday comes as Spring Festival travel rush when people return home, travel, visit relatives and friends. If you go out, please ensure traffic safety and abide by traffic rules. Do not take any overloaded or unlicensed vehicles and ships. Beware of robbery and fraud, especially those which caused by network, SMS, E-mail, and QQ.   

d.  Pay attention to personal and property security. Keep your important property; do not flaunt wealth so as not to get in trouble.

e.  Before leaving school, please check your room, and turn off all the electricity in case of fire. Those who stay in school should abide by the regulations and requirements of school. Do not use any cooker and high-power electrical appliance. Do not light fire, fireworks or store something flammable and combustible at school and in dorm area. Do not exchange rooms privately or keep a guest (including the opposite sex) overnight. Do not have large and noisy parties.

f.  When you go out for some celebrations, pay attention to the location of emergency exit to avoid overcrowded occasion and maintain your own safety. Once any emergency occurs, keep away from the site immediately.
